Acker reported its second-best year of all time with $165M in total sales, claiming an estimated 30% of the global wine auction market share. Retail sales were also up 40% year over year as more consumers came out again to shop for their fine and rare wine. A brisk December US auction closed out Acker’s 2022 auction season, confirming Acker once again as the #1 fine wine auction house in the world, a position it has held for nearly two decades.

To continue as the leader in global wine auctions while achieving our second-greatest year ever is enormously gratifying. The new year will be off to a quick start thanks to three amazing auctions already planned for the next two months, and we look forward to an exciting 2023 for the fine wine market.”
The holiday break will be short for the company as it prepares to launch its “Three Kings” auction, a three-day US sale on January 17th-19th comprised of three special collections on three consecutive nights. It will be followed by a live, in-person sale in Hong Kong on February 4th right after the celebration of Chinese New Year, and Acker’s first official La Paulée auction on March 2nd and 3rd.
Acker recently announced its 2023 partnership with The World’s Premier Burgundy Wine Festival, La Paulée. As exclusive wine auction and retail partner for the event, Acker will host the La Paulée Auction on March 2nd and 3rd and is already accepting consignments for the 2-day sale which will feature direct consignments from over a dozen producers of Burgundy’s top Domaines, with more to come. Bespoke retail offerings and events will also be released in the new year with La Paulée and its affiliates La Fête du Champagne, La Tablée, and Pressoir.wine.
