Reviews & Scores
The 2011 Meursault Porusot is focused like a laser beam. Here it is the wine's length and persistence that stand out most. Green apple, pear, white flowers and crushed rocks are all very much alive in the glass. Another few years should help all the elements come together a little more fully. Today, the Porusot is all about precision and crystalline purity. Roulot fans will be happy to see that there is a little more of this cuvee than in the past, as the 2011 incorporates parcels in Le Porusot and Porusots Dessus. - VM

The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Porusot (spelled with an “s” not “z”!) comes from two parcels. It has a scintillating, vibrant mineral-driven bouquet stylistically equidistant between Puligny and Meursault. The palate is extremely well-balanced with immense precision, starting off with real race and drive and then easing back toward the finish that offers just a touch of spice. This is another superb Meursault ‘11 from Jean-Marc. - WA

A tight and distinctly restrained nose of green fruit, lemon peel, spice and herbal tea hints slides into sleekly muscular and quite powerful medium weight plus flavors that possess plenty of punch and citrus character on the linear, compact and strikingly persistent finish. This is a robust effort and very Porusots in style. Note that plenty of patience will be required as this is unlikely to drink especially well young. - BH
